The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy by Rachel Joyce, is the follow up to The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, which I adored reading. The Love Song, tells the story of Harold going to visit his old love Queenie before she dies. Only Harold lived in South Devon and Queenie at the other end of the country. Harold walks to Queenie, and without a map he sets off. A story that made me laugh and cry at his adventures.

To listen to an audiobook is not my usual method of 'reading,' as  I like to give my full attention to a book, and there's nothing like the smell and feel of a book in your hand.  Nevertheless I'm so glad I listened to The Brighton Mermaid as it was a wonderful murder mystery. A young girls body is found on a Brighton Beach and sets in motion consequences for two sisters for decades. This was a page turner and frustratingly I had to go at the pace of the audio! It was cleverly written from the perspective of both sisters as their lives unravel. There were lots of twists and turns and a nail biter ending ~ no spoilers!

Can anyone let me know if this was or will be turned into a TV drama?
