St George's Day or Shakespeare's Birthday? Who do you celebrate? Let's be greedy and celebrate both!

I happen to love a dragon, I mean who doesn't?

What's to like about England? Where do I start?
~ Green, rolling hills
~ You're never far from the sea
~ Cream Teas / Afternoon tea
~Beautiful towns and cities like Rochester, Canterbury, York, Liverpool, Exeter and many, many more
~ London, an extraordinary capitol city full of history, greenery, art & culture. It also has some of the rudest commuters I know, but you can't have it all.
~ "Trains, we have lots of trains," Georgie aged 13, obsessed with trains, wants to be a train driver, (obviously not yet a commuter, but likes to get from A to B by train)!
I could go on, what would you add to the list? What do YOU love about England?
Then there's this guy. We all had to study him at school ~ if I remember correctly for me, it was The Taming of the Shrew and The Merchant of Venice.
" I'll call for pen and ink and write my mind," Shakespeare.

There are many words and phrases in everyday use that Shakespeare made popular in his Works. They include:
"Neither here nor there," Othello and The Merchant of Venice.
"With bated breath," The Merchant of Venice.
" Puking," As You Like it.
" There's method in my madness," Hamlet
"More fool you," The Taming of The Shrew.
" The lunatic, the lover and the poet, are of imagination all compact,"
Mid Summers Night Dream.
What are YOUR favourite quotes from Shakespeare?
Let T.S. Elliot have the last word,
"We can say of Shakespeare, that we never has a man turned so little knowledge to such great account."
